American Art Institute seeks to give local families access to this benefit through its Children's Art Center program, offering structured drawing and painting instruction for children and teenagers.
Tuition for the program is $150 for a four-class session plus a $20 practical materials fee, payable via Zelle. Classes combine drawing fundamentals with painting technique, building from foundational skills toward more advanced work as students progress. Instruction is offered bilingually in English and Chinese, reflecting the school's mission to help immigrant and multilingual families overcome cultural barriers.
"Drawing and painting give children a way to express themselves before they even have the words for it," said a spokesperson for American Art Institute. "Our goal with the Children's Art Center is to give every student, no matter their background or first language, a place to build that confidence early and carry it with them."
